...for you tend to see the world in a very different light, when nature is your God, and her church, the night

for those of you wondering, this is me, the Lady Darkness

Welcome to my little dwelling on the web! This is my very first attempt at a site so pretend not to notice all the places I've messed up. This year was my 5th at DragonCon and was even better than the years before have been. As most of you, as soon as I return home, I begin looking for the photo links to go up. I guess it's a way of prolonging the escape that we've all just enjoyed. I take pictures every year and finally decided to try and share them. They are all set up in the order in which they were taken, if that helps at all. Every year, my husband and I reserve a room and then try to find as many friends as we can to fill it. The past 3 years, a couple from North Carolina have been going, and are hooked for life from what I've seen. Then we can always talk a few friends of ours from South Georgia or Kentucky into going. It seems the more people you fit into a room, the bigger the adventures will be. We all have our own reasons for going to DragonCon, and mine is to dress up. I don't do themed costumes or anything like that, I simply dress in ways that would not otherwise be acceptable. It's like a 4-day release. While enjoying the pictures, if you happen to come across a picture of yourself and would like to be named or have a copy of the picture mailed to you, just e-mail me and let me know. Before I end this, I'd like to thank a few people for putting up with me and amusing me. Tim was in the Ballroom Level of the Hyatt drawing for hours and hours on end and not getting paid a dime to do so. He gave away many of his pieces and did portraits for people that he should have charged for doing. He is a very talented artist, and I doubt it will be long before a comic book company snatches him up. To the couple that got engaged during the costume contest, best wishes for many years of love and happiness. And then there was what seemed to be the only other married person at the Fantasm party Saturday night, Brad. Thank you for being a safe-haven in a room full of naughty boys and girls. I hope I wasn't too much of a bore, and I hope the grapes weren't sour. You were right, your wife is beautiful. Of course, there's Bonnie. She and the Fantasm crew put together the best party of the Con every year. I look foward to that just about more than anything else. Bonnie, as always you were beautiful and I enjoyed it. The group that rescued me from the evil storm troopers, I want to give you a great big thank you and a hug for such a great time. And just a thank you for Anthony Daniels for displaying me at the Dawn look-alike contest. I really am shy. Then for my husband and friends, thank you for letting me be me for a few days and loving me in spite of it. I'll see you all next year!
